Welcome to the Association of the Black Forest Ham Manufacturers

Located on the highest peak of the Black Forest with great views onto the neighbouring European countries is now a museum dedicated to a globally significant regional culinary specialty and therefore to the whole region and its people: the Schwarzwälder Schinken Museum.

This unique museum, which is located in the Feldberg-tower on the Feldberg, was launched on the initiative of the Schutzverband der Schwarzwälder Schinkenhersteller (association for the protection of the Black Forest Ham manufacturer). Thanks to the support of numerous sponsors the museum opens its door on 29th of June 2013.

Based on several individual stations for seeing, sniffing, touching and hearing the modern production of Black Forest ham is mediated interactive and engaging. An own recipe database provides suggestions and tips for the multiple consumption of Black Forest ham.
